{"id":100162,"date":"2026-04-25T12:18:50","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T06:48:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=100162"},"modified":"2026-04-25T12:18:50","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T06:48:50","slug":"nasha-mukt-bharat-abhiyaan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/nasha-mukt-bharat-abhiyaan\/","title":{"rendered":"Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment set to launch the upgraded Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) App 2.0 to strengthen the monitoring under the framework of the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched on 15th August 2020 by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was initially launched in 272 identified most vulnerable districts and now it has been extended to all districts of <\/span><b>the country with effect from 15th August 2023.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It intends to reach out to the masses and spread awareness about substance abuse through various activities like:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Awareness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> generation programmes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Focus on higher educational Institution, university campuses and schools<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reaching out into the Community and identifying dependent population,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Focus on counselling &amp; treatment facilities in hospitals &amp; rehabilitation centres<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capacity building programmes for a service providers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Target group<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Special emphasis is laid on the participation of stakeholders such as <\/span><b>women, children, educational institutions, civil society organizations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> etc. who may be directly or indirectly affected by substance use<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Key Features of NMBA App 2.0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>now accessible to citizens<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with features of undertaking <\/span><b>e-Pledge, access to IEC material<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, helpline support and <\/span><b>deaddiction centre details.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Dedicated Access for<\/b> <b>Grant-in-Aid Institutions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (GIAs): GIAs will now be onboarded onto the platform with <\/span><b>role-based access,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> enabling real-time reporting and monitoring of activities at the deaddiction facilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Real time status of Anudan (Grant) for GIA institutions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It incorporates Anudan status of all GIAs accessible to DoSJE, States \/ UTs and GIAs,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nearest De-addiction Centre: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It Allows users to identify <\/span><b>the nearest de-addiction centre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, enabling quicker referral and improved access to treatment services.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2255246&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was launched on 15th August 2020 by the Ministry of Social Justice &#038; Empowerment.
