These could be <strong>either suo-motu or on reference<\/strong> from the Prime Minister or anyone else.<\/li>\n<li>Attending to any other task as may be desired by the Prime Minister from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The role of EAC-PM is <strong>advisory in nature<\/strong> and <strong>not binding on the Government<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to its <strong>advisory role<\/strong>, the EAC-PM also plays an important role in fostering greater economic understanding and awareness among the public. The council regularly <strong>interacts with stakeholders and the public<\/strong> and communicates its findings and recommendations through reports, presentations, and public events.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Composition:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>EAC-PM is headed by a <strong>chairperson<\/strong> and consists <strong>of eminent economists<\/strong> as members.<\/li>\n<li>It is supported in its functions by a team of officials and administrators.<\/li>\n<li>There is <strong>no fixed definition of the exact number of members<\/strong> and staff of the EAC-PM.<\/li>\n<li>It is common for the Council to be <strong>reconstituted time and again<\/strong> with different organizational structures headed by various economists who are of recognized international eminence.<\/li>\n<li>For <strong>administrative, logistic,<\/strong> planning, and <strong>budgeting purposes, the NITI Aayogserves as the nodal agency<\/strong> for the EAC-PM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1<\/strong>: What is the NITI Aayog?<\/h3>\n<p>The National Institution for Transforming India, also called NITI Aayog, was formed via a resolution of the Union Cabinet on 1 January 2015. NITI Aayog is the premier policy \u2018Think Tank\u2019 of the Government of India, providing both directional and policy inputs.
