They live in distinct geographical areas.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Malayan Tapir<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It is<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>largest of the tapirs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which is <\/span><b>native to Southeast Asia.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Its black-and-white stripes help it blend into the forest. <\/span><b>(IUCN Status: Endangered)<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Baird\u2019s Tapir: It <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is <\/span><b>Central America&#8217;s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> biggest land mammal. It is found in tropical forests and around water. <\/span><b>(IUCN Status: Endangered)<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Lowland Tapir: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>South American tapir<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the most widespread. It is found in the <\/span><b>Amazon Basin and other areas.
