These images are called <\/span><b>mammograms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Healthcare providers use mammograms, or mammography, <\/span><b>to look for early signs of breast cancer before symptoms develop<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This is called a <\/span><b>screening mammogram.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Providers also use mammography to<\/span><b> look for any abnormalities<\/b> <b>if you develop <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a new <\/span><b>symptom, such as a lump, pain, nipple discharge <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or breast skin changes.
