released the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) 2.0 Guidelines.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched in February, 2013 under the National<\/span><b> Rural Health Mission.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a program to improve the <\/span><b>overall quality of life of children<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and provide comprehensive care to all the children in the community.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Target Group:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This program involves screening <\/span><b>of children from birth to 18 years of age<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for four Ds- <\/span><b>Defects at birth, Diseases, Deficiencies and Development delays<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this programme, its <\/span><b>screening spans 32 common health<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> conditions for early detection and free treatment and management, including surgeries at tertiary level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Major strategies followed are<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Comprehensive newborn screening<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 at delivery points to screen birth defects of the newborn<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Community screening<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the <\/span><b>Anganwadi and Government schools<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for children in the age <\/span><b>group 0 -18<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> years in convergence with Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Education<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Screening of the newborns\/infants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by ASHA through the HBNC\/HBYC program as a part of Early Childhood Development<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therapeutic management of the identified children at the District Early Intervention Centres (DEIC)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Key Feature of RBSK 2.0<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has expanded screening scope, covering a wider range of conditions including,<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Developmental disorders,<\/span><b> mental health issues, behavioural concerns,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lifestyle risks, risk factors for non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, and additional conditions like kidney disorders,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has introduced <\/span><b>digital health cards, real-time data systems, and integrated platforms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for
