{"id":102461,"date":"2026-05-08T11:48:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T06:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=102461"},"modified":"2026-05-08T11:48:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T06:18:00","slug":"janani-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/janani-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"JANANI Platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>JANANI Platform Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched JANANI (Journey of Antenatal, Natal and Neonatal Integrated Care) platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About JANANI Platform<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>service-oriented digital platform<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> designed to comprehensively <\/span><b>monitor and maintain digital health records of women<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> during their <\/span><b>reproductive age.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is developed as an upgraded version of the existing RCH portal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The platform aims to ensure seamless <\/span><b>tracking of maternal and child health services<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, covering antenatal care, delivery preparedness, delivery, postnatal care, newborn care, home-based newborn and young child care, and family planning.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Key Feature of JANANI Platform<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It introduces <\/span><b>QR-enabled digital Mother and Child Health (<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MCH<\/span><b>) Cards,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> enabling portability and easy access to health records.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Smart Tracking &amp; Alerts:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It incorporates <\/span><b>automated alerts for high-risk pregnancies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, real-time dashboards for supervisory review, and due-list generation, enabling timely tracking, monitoring, and targeted interventions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Interoperability:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has interoperability features, enabling integration with national platforms such <\/span><b>as U-WIN and POSHAN.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform <\/span><b>enables registration of beneficiaries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> using unique identifiers <\/span><b>such as ABHA, Aadhaar (OTP and biometric), and mobile number<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, along with pan-India search functionality.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also <\/span><b>provides self-registration facilities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through web and mobile platforms, empowering beneficiaries to actively engage with their healthcare journey.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It supports citizens by enabling <\/span><b>timely scheduling and monitoring of antenatal care visits <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and immunizations, along with alerts and reminders to ensure that no critical health milestone is missed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2258625&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JANANI Platform is a service-oriented digital platform designed to comprehensively monitor and maintain digital health records of women during their reproductive age.
