{"id":10299,"date":"2025-08-04T01:54:55","date_gmt":"2025-08-03T20:24:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=10299"},"modified":"2025-08-05T16:04:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T10:34:20","slug":"national-green-hydrogen-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-green-hydrogen-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"National Green Hydrogen Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About National Green Hydrogen Mission:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It was approved by the <strong>Union Cabinet on January 4, 2023.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> To make India a Global Hub for the production, utilization, and export of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are the components of the scheme?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition Programme <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/sight\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>(SIGHT)<\/strong><\/a>: Under this two distinct financial incentive mechanisms will be provided\n<ul>\n<li>Targeting domestic manufacturing <strong>of electrolysers<\/strong> and<\/li>\n<li>Production of <strong>Green Hydrogen<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The Mission will also support pilot projects in emerging end-use sectors and production pathways.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Regions capable of supporting <strong>large-scale production and<\/strong>\/or utilization of Hydrogen will be identified and developed as Green Hydrogen Hubs.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>public-private partnership<\/strong> framework for R&amp;D (Strategic Hydrogen Innovation Partnership \u2013 SHIP) will be facilitated under the Mission.<\/li>\n<li>A coordinated <strong>skill development programme<\/strong> will also be undertaken under the Mission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Norms issued for funding testing facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Scheme will be implemented with a total budgetary outlay of <strong>Rs. 200 Crores<\/strong> till the <strong>financial year 2025-26.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>National Institute of Solar Energy<\/strong> (NISE) will be the Scheme <strong>Implementation agency<\/strong> (SIA).<\/li>\n<li>The scheme encompasses the development of robust quality and performance testing facilities to ensure quality, sustainability, and safety in GH2 production and trade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/industry\/renewables\/norms-issued-for-funding-of-testing-facilities-infra-for-national-green-hydrogen-mission\/articleshow\/111495906.cms?from=mdr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><u>ET<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Green Hydrogen Mission aims to  make India a Global Hub for the production, utilization, and export of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives.
