{"id":10307,"date":"2023-04-29T04:07:24","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T22:37:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=10307"},"modified":"2025-03-29T19:27:38","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T13:57:38","slug":"agni-daman-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/agni-daman-23\/","title":{"rendered":"AGNI DAMAN-23"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About AGNI DAMAN-23:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>firefighting exercise<\/strong> conducted under the <strong>aegis of Indian Army\u2019s HQ<\/strong>, Southern Command.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective<\/strong>: <strong>Enhance synergy among firefighters<\/strong> to work together in the event of major fire incidents.<\/li>\n<li>The exercise was <strong>conducted at 29 Field Ammunition Depot (FAD) , Dehu Road, Pune<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>A total of 56 <strong>firefighting columns including 32 from civil agencies like National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF), State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF<\/strong>), MC Alandi, Fire Department Pimpri Chinchwad, PMRDA Akurdi, MIDC Ambi Talegaon, MC Talegaon Dhabade, Nagar Parishad Chakan, Main Fire Department Bhawani Peth, Tata Motors Ltd, Mahindra Vehicle Ltd &amp; Bajaj Auto participated in the exercise.<\/li>\n<li>The exercise p<strong>rovided impetus &amp; opportunity to the combatant manpowe<\/strong>r including central\/state agencies to perform coordinated firefighting &amp; <strong>render maximum aid in minimum possible time to the affected areas <\/strong>to save precious lives &amp; valuable assets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What is the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF)?<\/h3>\n<p>The NDRF was constituted under Section 44 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 for a specialized response to natural and man-made disasters.
