{"id":10363,"date":"2023-05-03T04:10:45","date_gmt":"2023-05-02T22:40:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=10363"},"modified":"2025-03-29T19:49:01","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T14:19:01","slug":"what-is-buland-bharat-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/what-is-buland-bharat-exercise\/","title":{"rendered":"What is Buland Bharat Exercise?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Buland Bharat Exercise:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an <strong>integrated surveillance and firepower training exercise<\/strong> conducted by the <strong>Indian Army.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It was <strong>conducted in<\/strong> the recently operationalised <strong>longest High Altitude Artillery Ranges of Eastern Theatre<\/strong> located in <strong>Arunachal Pradesh.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The exercise <strong>involved the synergised application of surveillance and firepower capabilities<\/strong> <strong>of the Artillery<\/strong> and the Infantry <strong>in close coordination with Special Forces, Aviation, and Central Armed Police Forces<\/strong> deployed in West Kameng and Tawang districts of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/li>\n<li>The exercise <strong>validated plans for bringing down integrated firepower<\/strong> by orchestrating synchronised firing by artillery guns and fire support components of the Infantry aimed toward the destruction of designated targets.<\/li>\n<li>The month-long training culminated in the test exercise in which <strong>troops and equipment were tested in simulated war conditions in the high-altitude area<\/strong> and extreme weather conditions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Synergised surveillance and firepower from Infantry and Artillery radars<\/strong>, weapon systems and direction of fire from the air were practised during the exercise.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Uninterrupted communication on multiple media was also tested<\/strong> at long distances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What is an artillery gun?<\/h3>\n<p>Artillery refers to large-caliber guns \u2014 guns with big barrels \u2014 which can be moved from one place to another for land battles.
