That can make you feel tired and weak.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As RBCs serve the vital role of delivering oxygen to tissues in your body, not having enough healthy RBCs can<\/span><b> deprive your body\u2019s cells of the oxygen they need to make energy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and thrive.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thalassaemia is <\/span><b>caused by inheriting a gene mutation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (change in the normal DNA)<\/span><b> from one or both parents.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Traits for thalassemia are <\/span><b>more common in people from Mediterranean countries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, like <\/span><b>Greece and Turkey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and in people from <\/span><b>Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are <\/span><b>different types<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of thalassemia.
