The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has highlighted that the Silver Notice is more effective than traditional Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties (MLATs) for tracing criminal assets across countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is Interpol\u2019s Silver Notice?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The INTERPOL Silver Notice is a special international alert system launched in 2023 during a pilot phase that will continue until 2025. The initiative was developed after consultations held during the 2022 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/the-united-nations-un\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>United Nations<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> General Assembly. Around 52 countries, including India, are participating in this pilot project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main objective of the Silver Notice is to identify, trace, and recover criminal assets hidden across international borders.
