{"id":105691,"date":"2026-05-29T13:35:20","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T08:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=105691"},"modified":"2026-05-29T15:55:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T10:25:28","slug":"national-e-governance-service-delivery-assessment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-e-governance-service-delivery-assessment\/","title":{"rendered":"National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, launched the Portal for the National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment (NeSDA), 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>biennial assessment framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> developed by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It measures the depth and <\/span><b>effectiveness of existing e-Governance service delivery<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> mechanisms from the citizen\u2019s perspective.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Global Reference:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is based on the <\/span><b>Online Service Index<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (OSI) of the <\/span><b>UN e-Government Survey<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It assesses the <\/span><b>availability, accessibility and maturity of online service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> delivery across States, Union Territories and focus Central Ministries\/Departments.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NeSDA serves as an important benchmarking exercise for improving online service delivery across the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>\u00a0NeSDA 2025 Framework Dimensions and Additions<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Portal Coverage:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> All Government Portals assessed under NeSDA are classified into two categories, viz.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">State, UT, City and Central Ministry Portals<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">State, UT, City and Central Ministry Service Portals<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Focus Sectors and Mandatory Services Coverage:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It\u00a0 covers <\/span><b>G2C and G2B services<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across key sectors, viz., Finance, Labour &amp; Employment, Education, Local Governance &amp; Utility Services, Social Welfare, Environment (including Fire), Tourism, Public Grievance, Transport and Travel sectors.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It proposes an expansion on focus sectors with the addition of <\/span><b>services of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In NeSDA 2025, a total of <\/span><b>59 mandatory services <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are proposed to be assessed for every State &amp;
