{"id":106008,"date":"2026-05-31T12:10:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-31T06:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=106008"},"modified":"2026-06-02T11:08:49","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T05:38:49","slug":"nausena-shaurya-vatika","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/nausena-shaurya-vatika\/","title":{"rendered":"Nausena Shaurya Vatika"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Nausena Shaurya Vatika <\/b><b>Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, jointly with the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, recently inaugurated the \u2018Nausena Shaurya Vatika\u2019, an open-air naval museum in Lucknow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Nausena Shaurya Vatika<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an <\/span><b>open-air naval museum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>interpretation centre showcasing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the <\/span><b>legacy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, operational capabilities and <\/span><b>maritime achievements of the Indian Navy.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Location: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Built at a cost of Rs 19 crore,\u00a0 it covers an area spanning over two acres.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been <\/span><b>developed as Phase-II of the Nausena Shaurya Sangrahalaya<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><b>Navy\u2019s memorial museum.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was jointly <\/span><b>developed by the Indian Navy and the Uttar Pradesh government.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><b>showcases the artefacts and weapon systems of INS Gomati<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (a Godavari class guided-missile frigate) , which was <\/span><b>decommissioned <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on May 29, <\/span><b>2022 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">after 34 years of service.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AK 726 (Naval Gun Installed onboard Naval Warship), ZIF 101 launcher for Surface-to-Air <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/types-of-missiles-in-india\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Missiles<\/strong><\/a>, Surface-to-Surface Anti-Ship and Surface-to-Air Missiles and Ship&#8217;s radar, torpedo launcher, anchors, ship\u2019s masts and other artefacts of INS Gomati are on display at the park.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also features a <\/span><b>Walkthrough Museum of TU 142M<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a <\/span><b>long range maritime patrol aircraft <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which is <\/span><b>no longer in service.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also includes numerous visitor amenities such as food court, souvenir shop, and advanced lighting &amp; sound system. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/uttar-pradesh\/indian-navy-confined-entire-pakistan-navy-to-its-ports-during-operation-sindoor-defence-minister-rajnath-singh\/article71040901.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">TH<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nausena Shaurya Vatika is an open-air naval museum showcasing the Indian Navy&#8217;s heritage, capabilities, and maritime achievements.
