Water Mission.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About MAHA Water Mission<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been conceived as a <\/span><b>national platform<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to accelerate <\/span><b>innovation in the water sector<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by connecting science, entrepreneurship, industry, academia and grassroots action.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to <\/span><b>support innovations from laboratory research<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to <\/span><b>field deployment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while generating scalable and localised solutions for strengthening <\/span><b>India\u2019s long-term water security.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will <\/span><b>support technology development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, field validation and deployment for addressing critical water challenges.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will focus on <\/span><b>five priority themes:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water resource assessment and sustainable management;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drinking water;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water quality and ecological health;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water use efficiency and circular economy;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Climate resilience and adaptation<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Financial Assistance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A projected outlay of <\/span><b>\u20b9200 crore over five years<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, jointly contributed by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/anusandhan-national-research-foundation-anrf\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Anusandhan National Research Foundation<\/b> <\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/anusandhan-national-research-foundation-anrf\/\" target=\"_blank\">(ANRF )<\/a> and the <\/span><b>Ministry of Jal Shakti.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme will support <\/span><b>multidisciplinary consortia involving<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> universities, national laboratories, research organisations, startups, MSMEs and industry partners.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Up to \u20b920 crore support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be available for selected consortia to undertake
