{"id":106257,"date":"2026-06-02T13:34:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T08:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=106257"},"modified":"2026-06-02T13:34:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T08:04:53","slug":"project-udayak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/project-udayak\/","title":{"rendered":"Project UDAYAK"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Project UDAYAK Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) celebrated the 37th Raising Day of Project UDAYAK.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Project UDAYAK<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an initiative of the <\/span><b>Border Roads Organisation.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Project was <\/span><b>aptly named &#8216;Udayak&#8217;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, meaning the <\/span><b>Rising Sun <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as the first rays of the rising sun in the country fall in the AOR of the project.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>History<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>raised on 01 Jun 1990<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at Doomdooma, Assam as part of the restructuring undertaken to focus on the development on the far-eastern area of the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its two task forces, 48 BRTF and 752 BRTF were <\/span><b>carved out of Projects Vartak and Sewak<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> respectively, to form the two executive arms of the Project.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Achievements of Project UDAYAK<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been instrumental in the development and <\/span><b>maintenance of strategic road infrastructure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the <\/span><b>easternmost regions of Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Assam.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Project plays a vital role in enhancing connectivity in remote and strategically significant areas along the <\/span><b>Line of Actual Control (LAC) and the Indo\u2013Myanmar border.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Project is currently undertaking construction of roads and border fencing infrastructure, along the Indo-Myanmar border, strengthening national security and improving accessibility in border regions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2267685&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project UDAYAK is an initiative of the Border Roads Organisation.
