{"id":106860,"date":"2026-06-05T13:33:28","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T08:03:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=106860"},"modified":"2026-06-05T15:12:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T09:42:08","slug":"national-awards-for-e-governance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-awards-for-e-governance\/","title":{"rendered":"National Awards for e-Governance"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National Awards for e-Governance Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union government named 16 projects of the Central, state and local governments across the country as the winners of the National Awards for e-Governance.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Awards for e-Governance<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NAeG are presented <\/span><b>every year<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to recognize and promote <\/span><b>excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nodal Ministry:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances &amp; Pensions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NAeG Awards, 2026 consist of:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Trophy, Certificate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and an incentive of <\/span><b>Rs 10 lakh for Gold Awardees<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Rs 5 lakh for Silver<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Awardees to be awarded to Central Ministry\/Department\/State\/UT\/ District\/Organisation\/Gram Panchayat for being <\/span><b>utilised for implementation of project\/programme <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or bridging resources gaps in any area of public welfare.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year <\/span><b>16 Awards<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are being conferred under the NAeG 2026. Of these 10 will be Gold Awards and 6 will be silver Awards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>seven categories for the NAeG 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, are<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Government Process Re-engineering<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Use of Technology for Digital Transformation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Innovation by Use of AI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Other New Age Technologies for Providing Citizen Centric Services<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Best e-Gov Practices<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\/Innovation in Cyber Security<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>District Level Initiatives<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in e-Governance<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Grassroots Level Initiatives<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Gram Panchayats or equivalent Traditional Local Bodies for Deepening\/Widening of Service Delivery<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Replication and Scaling of Nationally Awarded<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Mission-Mode e-Governance Projects by States\/UTs\/Districts,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Digital transformation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Use of Data Analytics in Digital Platforms by Central Ministries\/States\/UTs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2268817&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Awards for e-Governance are presented every year to recognize and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives.
