He wrote around <strong>2230 songs<\/strong> and painted <strong>3000 paintings<\/strong>. His <strong>songs are known as Rabindra Sangeet<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rabindranath Tagore <strong>wrote India&#8217;s national anthem,<\/strong> <strong>Jana Gana Mana<\/strong>. He also <strong>wrote Amar Sonar Bangla,<\/strong> the <strong>national anthem for Bangla<\/strong>desh. The <strong>Sri Lankan national anthem was inspired by his work<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>He was <strong>awarded a knighthood in 1915<\/strong>, but he <strong>repudiated it in 1919<\/strong> as a <strong>protest against the Amritsar (Jallianwalla Bagh) Massacre.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Viswa Bharti University<\/strong>, which was known as <strong>Shantiniketan founded by Rabindranath Tagore.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Major Works:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Tagore\u2019s most notable work of poetry is <i><strong>Gitanjali<\/strong><\/i>: <strong>Song Offerings<\/strong>, for which he <strong>received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other notable poetry<\/strong> publications include <i><strong>Sonar Tari<\/strong><\/i><strong> and <\/strong><i><strong>Manasi<\/strong>.<\/i><\/li>\n<li>He wrote <strong>novels, plays, and short stories<\/strong> in both languages, including the <strong>plays<\/strong> <i><strong>Chitra<\/strong><\/i><strong> and <\/strong><i><strong>The Post Office<\/strong><\/i><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>He is <strong>credited with pioneering the short story form in Bengali literature<\/strong>, with some of his best work collected in <i><strong>The Hungry Stones<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>Other Stories<\/strong><\/i><strong> and <\/strong><i><strong>The Glimpses of Bengal Life.<\/strong><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0Who was Debendranath Tagore?<\/h3>\n<p>Debendranath Tagore was the founder of the Brahmo Religion in 1843, which today is identical with Brahmoism.
