His favourite bhajan, <\/span><b>\u201cVaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je Peed Parayi Jaane Re,\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> highlights the ability to understand the pain of others. Gandhi travelled across India, lived among Harijans and directly experienced people\u2019s hardships. This empathy later inspired movements such as Champaran Satyagraha and the Dandi March.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Swami Vivekananda\u2019s idea of Daridra Narayana <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also reflects compassion towards the poor by viewing service to humanity as service to God.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Importance of Empathy and Compassion Towards Weaker Sections<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Empathy and compassion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are indispensable qualities for civil servants because administration ultimately deals with people rather than files. Real understanding emerges only when officials interact directly with people and appreciate their circumstances.
