{"id":110399,"date":"2026-06-29T13:39:01","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T08:09:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=110399"},"modified":"2026-06-29T14:43:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T09:13:10","slug":"exercise-rimpac-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-rimpac-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise RIMPAC 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Exercise RIMPAC Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The United States officially launched Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2026 recently, bringing together military forces from 30 countries for the world\u2019s largest international maritime exercise. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Exercise RIMPAC<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the <\/span><b>world\u2019s largest international maritime exercise.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Hosted by the U.S. Navy&#8217;s Pacific Fleet<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it is <\/span><b>held biennially<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (every two years) in and around the <\/span><b>Hawaiian Islands<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Pacific Ocean .\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It<\/span><b> first began<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>1971<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It provides a unique training opportunity for allies and partners to strengthen their collective capabilities and <\/span><b>promote a free and open Indo-Pacific.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>2026 Edition:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the <\/span><b>30th edition <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the exercise.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is being held from June 24 to July 31, 2026.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It brings a multinational force of <\/span><b>31 nations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, approximately 40 surface ships, 5 submarines, 140 aircraft, and over 25,000 personnel.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Indian Navy is also participating <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the exercise. <\/span><b>India first participated<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in RIMPAC in <\/span><b>2014<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>theme <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of RIMPAC 2026 is <\/span><b>\u201cPartners: Integrated and Prepared.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will reinforce collective security through a range of exercises in <\/span><b>anti-submarine warfare, air defence, missile proficiency, mine clearance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, amphibious assaults, <\/span><b>disaster response, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and gunnery training. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>News<\/b><strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marineinsight.com\/worlds-biggest-maritime-exercise-rimpac-2026-sees-participation-from-30-nations-30-plus-warships-in-hawaii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">MI<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise RIMPAC is the world\u2019s largest international maritime exercise hosted by the U.S. Navy&#8217;s Pacific Fleet.
