Hence the name <\/span><b>Bandhavgarh <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><b>Sanskrit: Brother\u2019s Fort).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The habitat is characterized by valleys, hills, and plains, with the Bandhavgarh fort prominently seen as a major landmark.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reserve features around <\/span><b>39 caves with <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/buddhist-literature\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pali inscriptions<\/a> and animal depictions.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also contains <\/span><b>ancient structures<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, including <\/span><b>stupas and statues from the 1st century BCE.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Flora:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Main vegetation in the reserve consists of <\/span><b>Sal trees <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">along with huge expanses of <\/span><b>grasslands and bamboo forests.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other kinds of trees which are found here are <\/span><b>Saja, Dhauda, Tendu, Arjun, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aonla, Pals, Salai, Bhirra, Khamer, Dhaman, Mango, Jamun, Dhobin, etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Fauna:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is known to have <\/span><b>one of the highest density of tigers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the world.
