hotspots.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Hummus Trail<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a term coined to denote the<\/span><b> travel route <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through <\/span><b>India most frequented by Israelis,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> particularly post-military service.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Every year, around 80,000 Israelis visit India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a large number of them <\/span><b>young veterans<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who have been <\/span><b>discharged from the mandatory Israeli army service.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This <\/span><b>trip, known as the Tiul Gadol<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, could last up to 6 months or a year and is mainly funded by the bonus they receive after serving in the army.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the north to the south of the country, there are several areas which are frequented by Israelis<\/span><b>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and this is colloquially known as the \u2018Hummus trail in India\u2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hummus Trail <\/span><b>starts <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from the <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/union-territories-of-india\/\" target=\"_blank\">Union Territory<\/a> of Leh and Ladakh,<\/b> <b>moves further to Kasol (also known as mini-Israel)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Bhaghshu, Dharamkot, <\/span><b>Tosh, and Kullu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the <\/span><b>Parvati valley of Himachal Pradesh.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also includes<\/span><b> remote areas <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">like <\/span><b>Kalga, Pulga and Talga<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which are known for their <\/span><b>\u2018Israeli settlements\u2019.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It connects the <\/span><b>Hindu religious places of Mathura and Vrindavan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and moves towards <\/span><b>Pushkar in Rajasthan.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>In South India, South Goa and Gokarna<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are popular for their tropical beaches;
