The <strong>other partners<\/strong> of the project <strong>are the Japanese consortium Sakhalin Oil and Gas Development Company (SODECO<\/strong>, 30%), <strong>India\u2019s state-owned ONGC Videsh (20%)<\/strong>, and <strong>Russian oil company Rosneft (20%).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Sakhalin 1 project is estimated to <strong>hold approximately 2.3 billion barrels of oil<\/strong> and 17.1 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) in recoverable reserves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL):<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>Miniratna Schedule \u201cA\u201d Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE)<\/strong> of the Government of India and is the <strong>wholly owned subsidiary and overseas arm of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It comes under the <strong>administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>primary business<\/strong> of ONGC Videsh is t<strong>o prospect for oil and gas acreages outside India, including exploration, development and production<\/strong> of oil and gas.<\/li>\n<li>ONGC Videsh is the <strong>second largest petroleum company of India, next only to its parent ONGC.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What is ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL)?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a Miniratna Schedule \u201cA\u201d Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) of the Government of India and is the wholly owned subsidiary and overseas arm of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).
