{"id":113122,"date":"2026-07-14T12:25:45","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T06:55:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=113122"},"modified":"2026-07-14T12:25:45","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T06:55:45","slug":"swayaan-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/swayaan-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"SwaYaan Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>SwaYaan Initiative Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Drone Federation India launched National Innovation Challenge for Drone Research (NIDAR) under SwaYaan initiative<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About SwaYaan Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>launched in 2022.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a National Initiative by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MeitY) to develop and <\/span><b>strengthen the UAS\/Drone ecosystem in India.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vision is in line with the Government of India&#8217;s initiative to make India a global Drone hub by the year 2030.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To <\/span><b>empower participants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from all walks of life, ranging from undergraduates to faculties and open learners across five identified technical areas, through more than 1500 <\/span><b>academic, non-formal, research, and knowledge-sharing activities.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project is implemented through a network <\/span><b>of 30 premier Academic and R&amp;D institutions,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including IIT, IISc, IIIT, NITs, IIITDM, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/what-is-the-centre-for-development-of-advanced-computing-c-dac\/\" target=\"_blank\">C-DAC<\/a><\/strong>, and NIELIT Centres.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, Skill councils and Industrial bodies like FICCI, ESSCI, TSSC, DFI, HAL, etc., are integral parts of Project mentoring and supervision teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Five key work themes guide the project: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drone Electronics, GNC Algorithms Simulation, Aeromechanics, Drone Applications, and Allied UAS Technologies\u2014ensuring specialized focus areas.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleaseIframePage.aspx?PRID=2112555&amp;reg=48&amp;lang=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SwaYaan Initiative is a National Initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to develop and strengthen the UAS\/Drone ecosystem in India.
