The state is famous for sandalwood, Mysore silk, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/folk-dances-of-india\/\" target=\"_blank\">folk dances<\/a><\/strong>, temple rituals, grand cultural fairs and heritage festivals. Families prepare Ugadi Pachadi using jaggery, raw mango, neem, tamarind, chilli and salt, decorate homes with mango leaves, wear traditional attire and perform special prayers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Ganesh Chaturthi (Ganesha Chathurthi)<\/strong>: A ten day festival during August-September honouring Lord Ganesha.
