{"id":114513,"date":"2026-07-22T13:51:02","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T08:21:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=114513"},"modified":"2026-07-22T13:51:02","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T08:21:02","slug":"tenzing-norgay-national-adventure-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/tenzing-norgay-national-adventure-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Ministry of Youth Affairs &amp; Sports invited online nominations for the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award (TNNAA) 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>India&#8217;s highest national honour<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for outstanding achievements in the <\/span><b>field of adventure.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>objectives of the award are<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To <\/span><b>recognize the achievements of the person <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the field of adventure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To encourage young people to <\/span><b>develop the spirit of endurance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, risk-taking, cooperative teamwork, and quick, ready, and effective reflexes in challenging situations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To provide incentives to the young people for getting exposed to adventure activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Award:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award carries a <\/span><b>bronze statuette, a certificate, a blazer with a silken tie<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (or saree), and an award <\/span><b>money of \u20b915 lakh.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The award enjoys a <\/span><b>status equivalent to the Arjuna Awards<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and is presented by the Government <\/span><b>of India along with the National Sports Awards.<\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Number of Awardees<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Awards can be given <\/span><b>in four categories namely, Land Adventure, Water (Sea) Adventure, Air Adventure and Life Time Achievement<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for adventure activities on Land, Sea and Air.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Ordinarily not more than one Award<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be made in each category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry may increase the number of awards in a particular year with the approval of the Hon\u2019ble Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2287049&amp;reg=48&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award is India&#8217;s highest national honour for outstanding achievements in the field of adventure.
