informed about the Mission Vatsalya Scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Mission Vatsalya Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Centrally Sponsored Scheme.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is implemented by the States and Union Territories (UTs) to support <\/span><b>Children in Need of care and Protection (CNCP) and Children in Conflict with Law (CCL).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The objective of the Scheme is <\/span><b>ensuring care, protection, rehabilitation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and reintegration of children in difficult circumstances, including <\/span><b>missing and vulnerable children.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It promotes <\/span><b>family- and community-based care<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, institutional support services, counselling, and emergency outreach for children in need.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Scheme provides <\/span><b>institutional and non-institutional care<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and support services for children in difficult circumstances under the statutory framework of <\/span><b>the <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/juvenile-justice-act-how-can-a-juvenile-be-tried-as-an-adult-in-court\/\" target=\"_blank\">Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015<\/a>.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Section<\/b> <b>55 of the JJ Act, 2015<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides for the evaluation of the functioning of relevant service delivery structures.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this provision, the Central Government, State Government, or District Magistrate may independently evaluate the functioning of the <\/span><b>Juvenile Justice Board<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Child Welfare Committee, Special Juvenile Police Units<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, registered institutions, and recognised fit facilities or persons, at such intervals and through such agencies as
