In Greek, the word \u201c<\/span><b>Picros\u201d means bitter<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>\u201cRhiza\u201d means root,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> so bitter root.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>locally known as Kutki.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Habitat:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is native to the <\/span><b>alpine and sub-alpine regions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2,700-4,500 metres) of the Himalayas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Distribution:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is <\/span><b>found in <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/himalayan-region-in-india\/\" target=\"_blank\">Himalayan region<\/a>,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Garwal
