{"id":115129,"date":"2026-07-25T13:45:21","date_gmt":"2026-07-25T08:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=115129"},"modified":"2026-07-25T13:45:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-25T08:15:21","slug":"start-up-village-entrepreneurship-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/start-up-village-entrepreneurship-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme supports non-farm enterprises through training and financing and by June 2026 it had supported 4.32 lakh rural enterprises across the country.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>launched in 2016,<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a sub-scheme of the <\/span><b>Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To implement the Government&#8217;s efforts to stimulate economic growth and reduce poverty and unemployment in the villages by helping start and support rural enterprises.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme <\/span><b>supports Self Help Groups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SHGs) and their family members in establishing small <\/span><b>enterprises in the non-farm sector.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It provides <\/span><b>financial assistance, institutional support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, business management training, soft skill development, and business development services.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SVEP also facilitates access to <\/span><b>banking linkages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and convergence with government schemes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A key feature of SVEP has been <\/span><b>community-based decision-making<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for funding and supporting enterprises locally.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has adopted an <\/span><b>all-inclusive approach<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with a strong focus on supporting <\/span><b>women, marginalized communities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and individuals with limited educational attainment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Implemented By:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> SVEP is implemented through the <\/span><b>State Rural Livelihoods Missions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SRLMs).<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the block level, <\/span><b>Block Resource Centres\u2013Enterprise Promotion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (BRC-EPs) coordinate programme implementation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Trained Community Resource Persons\u2013Enterprise Promotion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CRP-EPs) provide technical assistance to the Block Resource Centres on enterprise promotion.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2289268&amp;reg=48&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme  is a sub-scheme of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana \u2013 National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).
