Nagaland, located in the northeastern region of India, is home to <\/span><b>17 officially recognised major tribes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and several sub-tribes, each with its own identity and traditions. Protected under special constitutional provisions, the Naga tribes have preserved their unique way of life while adapting to modern development.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Tribes of Nagaland<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nagaland is often referred to as the <\/span><b>&#8220;Land of Festivals&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> due to the cultural richness of its tribal communities. Most tribes traditionally lived in autonomous villages governed by customary laws and village councils. implemented several programmes to improve education, healthcare, livelihoods, infrastructure, and cultural preservation among the tribal communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/article-371a\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Article 371A<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> safeguards Naga customary laws, land rights, religious practices, and traditional institutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Ministry of Tribal Affairs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> implements welfare schemes for education, healthcare, infrastructure, and livelihood development.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b><a
