{"id":115779,"date":"2026-07-29T11:58:20","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T06:28:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=115779"},"modified":"2026-07-29T11:58:20","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T06:28:20","slug":"sheta2-therapy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/sheta2-therapy\/","title":{"rendered":"SHetA2 Therapy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>SHetA2 Therapy Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, a new cervical cancer SHetA2 pill showed promise by stopping Human Papillomavirus (HPV) from turning cancerous.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About SHetA2 Therapy<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SHetA2 is a small <\/span><b>molecule therapy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that is designed to <\/span><b>stop an HPV infection from causing cancer.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Small molecule therapies are chemically manufactured, low-weight compounds that can easily be absorbed by the body.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed to treat <\/span><b>HPV-induced cervical dysplasia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and cervical cancer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Working<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This therapy targets three proteins in the human body called <\/span><b>mortalin, heat shock cognate (hsc70), and glucose regulated protein 78 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Grp78).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are <\/span><b>essential for the proliferation of the cancer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-causing oncoprotein of the virus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><b>works by breaking the connection<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between the <\/span><b>HPV-E7 protein<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a host protein inside human cells.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Normally, this host <\/span><b>protein protects E7<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and allows it to keep damaging healthy cells.
