{"id":116197,"date":"2026-07-31T12:46:47","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T07:16:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=116197"},"modified":"2026-07-31T13:21:34","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T07:51:34","slug":"ins-nipun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ins-nipun\/","title":{"rendered":"INS NIPUN"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>INS NIPUN Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the INS Nipun was delivered to the Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About INS NIPUN<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the <\/span><b>second Diving Support Vessel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (DSV) built by <\/span><b>Hindustan Shipyard Limited.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vessel has been designed and constructed in accordance with Classification Rules of the <\/span><b>Indian Register of Shipping (IRS).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u2018Nipun\u2019 draws her name from Sanskrit signifying \u2018one who is adept, capable, and well versed in a particular discipline\u2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This ship is highly specialised and is capable of undertaking deep sea dive operations and rescue operations at sea.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of INS NIPUN<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ship is installed with <\/span><b>state-of-the-art Dive Equipment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and has capability to undertake Deep Sea Saturation Diving.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is equipped with <\/span><b>advanced dynamic positioning systems<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, saturation diving equipment, submarine rescue machinery, and deep-sea intervention tools.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It would also serve as the <\/span><b>Mother Ship for the Deep Submergence Rescue Vessel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (DSRV), to evacuate personnel in case of an emergency in a submarine.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has nearly <\/span><b>75 percent Indigenous Content.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2292073&amp;reg=48&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>INS NIPUN is the second Diving Support Vessel (DSV) built by Hindustan Shipyard Limited.
