Athletics<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Indian long-distance runner<\/b> <b>Gulveer Singh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> became the <\/span><b>first Indian man to win a <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/commonwealth-games-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\">Commonwealth Games<\/a> medal in the men\u2019s 10,000 metres event.<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He won the silver medal by clocking 27 minutes 49.8 seconds in the final race.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Australia\u2019s Ky Robinson won the gold medal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while David Mullarkey of the Isle of Man secured the bronze medal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gulveer\u2019s achievement marked India\u2019s <\/span><b>first-ever men\u2019s 10,000m medal at the Commonwealth medal.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Harjinder Kaur Won Silver Medal in Women\u2019s 69 kg Weightlifting<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Indian weightlifter Harjinder Kaur won silver in the women\u2019s 69 kg category<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, continuing India\u2019s strong performance in weightlifting.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She lifted 101 kg in snatch and 126 kg in clean and jerk, achieving a total of 227 kg.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both her lifts were personal best performances at the international level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She also broke the Commonwealth Games snatch record twice during the competition.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Canada\u2019s Charlotte Simoneau won gold
