Such cells can <strong>include cancer cells<\/strong> or <strong>cells that are infected with bacteria or a virus.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Apoptosis <strong>also removes cells that are normal but no longer needed<\/strong>, such as cells that produce antibodies after the need for the antibody has passed.<\/li>\n<li>Apoptosis <strong>can also be triggered in otherwise normal cells by external stimuli<\/strong>, including <strong>nutrient removal, toxins, hormones<\/strong>, heat, and radiation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Too much apoptosis<\/strong> in an otherwise normal human being<strong> will result in a number of so-called neurodegenerative diseases<\/strong> where cells die when they&#8217;re not supposed to die.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It is estimated that a <strong>mass of cells equal to body weight is removed by apoptosis each year.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What is cell death?<\/h3>\n<p>Cell death refers to the event that leads to the death of a cell. The process entails the breaking down of cell structures.
