The announcement was made by <strong data-start=\"259\" data-end=\"305\">Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav<\/strong> on <strong data-start=\"309\" data-end=\"326\">3 August 2026<\/strong>, marking a significant milestone in India&#8217;s efforts to strengthen <strong data-start=\"393\" data-end=\"515\">wetland conservation, biodiversity protection, climate resilience, and sustainable management of freshwater ecosystems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><b>About Glaw Lake<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Location: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is located in the<\/span><b> state of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>Arunachal Pradesh\u2019s first style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/kamlang-tiger-reserve\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Kamlang Tiger Reserve<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Wildlife Sanctuary.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is located at an elevation of 1,168 <\/span><b>150 tree species<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>49 orchid species recorded<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> within the site and its catchment, underscoring the
