The campaign is conducted in collaboration with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/state-government\/\" target=\"_blank\">state governments<\/a><\/strong>, educational institutions, government departments, local bodies, and various public organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Flag Code Guidelines for Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Indian National Flag (Tiranga)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the foremost <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-symbols-of-india\/\" target=\"_blank\">symbol of India&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> sovereignty, unity, and national pride. It reflects the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters, the values of the Constitution, and the aspirations of every Indian citizen. To preserve its dignity and honor, the display and use of the National Flag are governed by the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-honour-act-1971\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <b>Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/flag-code-of-india-2002\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Flag Code of India, 2002<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, along with its subsequent amendments.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>National Flag Material:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Following the amendments to the <\/span><b>Flag Code of India, 2002<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (December 2021), the National Flag may be made of <\/span><b>hand-spun, handwoven, or machine-made cotton, polyester, wool, silk, or khadi bunting<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Who Can Hoist the Flag:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Every citizen, private organization, educational institution, and government body may hoist or display the National Flag on all days and occasions, provided it is done with dignity and respect.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Day and Night Display:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> As per the <\/span><b>July 2022 amendment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, citizens are permitted to fly the National Flag <\/span><b>both during the day and at night<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, provided it is displayed in a respectful manner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Correct Dimensions:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The National Flag must always be <\/span><b>rectangular<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in shape, with the <\/span><b>length-to-width ratio maintained at 3:2<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Position of Honour:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Whenever displayed, the Tiranga should always occupy the <\/span><b>highest position of honor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and be clearly visible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Damaged Flags:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A torn, faded, dirty, or damaged National Flag should never be hoisted or displayed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>No Simultaneous Hoisting:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The National Flag should <\/span><b>not be flown on the same flagpole with any other flag<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the same time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Display on Vehicles:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Tiranga may only be displayed on the vehicles of dignitaries authorized under the <\/span><b>Flag Code of India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, such as the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/president-of-india\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>President<\/b><\/a><b>, <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/vice-president-of-india\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Vice-President<\/b><\/a><b>, Prime Minister, <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/governor\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Governors<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and other specified constitutional authorities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>No Flag Above the Tiranga:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> No other flag, banner, or decorative bunting should be placed <\/span><b>above, higher than, or alongside the National Flag<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a manner that diminishes its dignity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Respectful Handling:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The National Flag should never touch the ground, floor, or water, nor should it be used as clothing, table covers, drapery, packaging material, or decoration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Proper Disposal:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> When the National Flag becomes damaged or unfit for display, it should be disposed of respectfully, preferably by <\/span><b>private burning or another dignified method<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in accordance with the Flag Code.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 and Nation Building<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> encourages every citizen to actively participate in strengthening the nation by proudly hoisting the <\/span><b>Indian National Flag<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
