justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is one of <\/span><b>NASA\u2019s <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">most ambitious programmes, which aims to <\/span><b>establish <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a <\/span><b>sustained human presence near the lunar South Pole.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moon Base is <\/span><b>humanity\u2019s first lunar outpost<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a place where <\/span><b>astronauts will live, work, and explore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> near the <\/span><b>Moon\u2019s South Pole,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> an area that was<\/span><b> first accessed by India\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/chandrayaan-3-mission\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chandrayaan-3 mission<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in August <\/span><b>2023<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>South Pole<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Moon is <\/span><b>important because of water ice in permanently shadowed regions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, its scientific value, and potentially useful lunar resources.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through a <\/span><b>series of crewed and uncrewed mission<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s, <\/span><b>NASA and its partners will build the infrastructure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> needed to support a sustained human presence on the Moon, unlock 400;\">NASA will<\/span><b> identify promising locations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for future infrastructure, improve mission capabilities, and reduce risk before astronauts justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the Moon Base\u2019s foundational infrastructure in place, NASA will begin <\/span><b>assembling a permanent lunar outpost <\/b><span
