{"id":11898,"date":"2023-06-13T11:32:14","date_gmt":"2023-06-13T06:02:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=11898"},"modified":"2025-03-30T06:06:31","modified_gmt":"2025-03-30T00:36:31","slug":"sankalp-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/sankalp-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"SANKALP Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>About SANKALP Programme:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion<\/strong> (SANKALP) programme was launched in 2018.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nodal Ministry:<\/strong> Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE)<\/li>\n<li>It is a <strong>World Bank loan-assisted project<\/strong> and is aligned with the overall objectives of the National Skill Development Mission (NSDM).<\/li>\n<li>The project focuses on <strong>transforming the overall skilling ecosystem of India<\/strong>, covering both central and state-level agencies for improved outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>It also encourages innovative <strong>best practices at the local level,<\/strong> resulting in enhanced access, quality and capacity in the skilling ecosystem and improved access to and completion of <strong>skills training for female trainees<\/strong> and other <strong>disadvantaged groups.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Strategy:<\/strong> Under SANKALP four key result areas have been identified viz \u2013\n<ul>\n<li>Institutional Strengthening (at National, State &amp; District level)<\/li>\n<li>Quality Assurance Quality Assurance of skill development programs;<\/li>\n<li>Inclusion of marginalised population in skill development; and<\/li>\n<li>Expanding Skills through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is National Skill Development Mission?<\/h3>\n<p>The National Skill Development Mission (NSDM) is an initiative launched by the Government of India in 2015 to empower the country&#8217;s workforce with the necessary skills to enhance employability and promote economic growth.
