Rising public capital expenditure, expansion of railways and highways, modern airports and metros, stronger ports and waterways, industrial corridors, and wider access to housing and tap water are together strengthening connectivity, logistics efficiency, basic services and long-term economic growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Rising Public Investment in Infrastructure<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scale of public investment has expanded significantly over the past 12 years. <\/span><b><i>Public capital expenditure increased from about \u20b92 lakh crore in FY 2014-15 to \u20b912.2 lakh crore in FY 2026-27<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, providing greater fiscal support for infrastructure development.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alongside higher spending, the <\/span><b><i>focus has gradually moved from building individual assets to developing connected infrastructure networks<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with greater emphasis on coordination and long-term capacity creation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Railways: Moving Towards Faster and Safer Mobility<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indian Railways is being modernised through electrification, new-generation trains, advanced safety systems and station redevelopment.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li
