justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>modern farming technique <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">where <\/span><b>rice seeds<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are <\/span><b>sown directly into the field, replacing <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the traditional <\/span><b>method of transplanting seedlings from a nursery.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Preferred Soil Types for <\/b><b>Direct Seeded Rice<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DSR can be operationalized on soils ranging from <\/span><b>medium texture (loam) to heavy texture (clay).\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, it is <\/span><b>recommended not <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to go for DSR <\/span><b>if the soil is light textured and poorly drained.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Direct Seeded Rice
