He became an important figure in the revolutionary movement against British rule. Rajguru was associated with the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA) and worked alongside Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev Thapar. His martyrdom remains an important event in India&#8217;s freedom struggle.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Shivaram Rajguru Biography<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/shivaram-rajguru\/\" target=\"_blank\">Shivaram Hari Rajguru<\/a><\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was born on 24 August 1908 at Khed near Pune (Maharashtra) to Parvati Devi and Harinarayan Rajguru in a Marathi Deshastha Brahmin family. His father died when Rajguru was six years old, after which his elder brother Dinkar took responsibility for the family. He received primary education at Khed and later studied in Pune. He was well versed in Indian scriptures and joined Seva Dal at a young age. He later entered revolutionary politics and became associated with the HSRA. Rajguru was executed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/british-administration-in-india\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>British<\/strong><\/a> government on 23 March 1931 in Lahore, along with Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev Thapar for involvement in the Saunders Assassination.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Shivaram Rajguru Contributions<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Shivaram Rajguru Birth Anniversary 2026 highlights and honors the major contributions of Shivaram Rajguru in the Struggle of Independence of India. The organisation was founded in 1928 by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/chandrashekhar-azad\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Chandrasekhar Azad<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/bhagat-singh\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Bhagat Singh<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and others to fight British rule.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Revolutionary Ideology: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rajguru supported militant nationalism and believed that British oppression had to be resisted with force. He did not support <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/mahatma-gandhi\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Mahatma Gandhi<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s non violent <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/satyagraha\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Satyagraha<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> approach.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Skilled Shooter: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rajguru was known for his shooting ability and was called the \u2018Gunman\u2019 of the HSRA. P. Saunders at Lahore on 17 December 1928.
