In the 2026 ranking, <\/span><b>Punjab secured the top position<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, reflecting its reported progress in <\/span><b>school infrastructure, foundational learning, teacher support and academic outcomes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>NITI Aayog School Education Quality Index 2026<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Punjab has claimed the first position in the <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/niti-aayog\/\" target=\"_blank\">NITI Aayog<\/a> School Education Quality Index 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, overtaking Kerala.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Punjab showed a significant improvement in the reported ranking, moving from <\/span><b>27th position in 2020 to 1st position in 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
