The pact comes amid heightened regional security concerns and supports their shared vision of a free and open Indo-Pacific.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About India-Japan Maritime Security Pact<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>India-Japan Maritime Security Pact<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a <\/span><b>Memorandum of Arrangement (MoA)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> signed by India and Japan to provide a structured framework <\/span><b>for closer cooperation in maritime security and defence.<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The MoA was signed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Japanese Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi during the Japan-India Defence Ministers\u2019 Meeting in New Delhi.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The arrangement forms part of the broader <\/span><b>Japan-India Special Strategic and Global Partnership<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, under which the two countries are strengthening their defence relationship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The pact reflects the growing strategic and maritime convergence between India and Japan amid heightened regional and international security concerns.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>India-Japan Maritime Security Pact Key Features<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>India-Japan Maritime Security Pact <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">include maritime cooperation with naval operations, logistics, shipbuilding, defence technology and wider Indo-Pacific cooperation.
