<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an important <\/span><b>zoonotic disease<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> caused by a <\/span><b>tick-borne virus<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Nairovirus) belonging to the family Bunyaviridae.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CCHF virus causes <\/span><b>severe viral haemorrhagic fever<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> outbreaks, with a case <\/span><b>fatality rate of 10\u201340%.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever <\/b><b>Distribution<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The disease was <\/span><b>first characterized<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1<\/span><b>944 in the Crimea.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>In 1969<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the same pathogen was identified as the cause of a similar disease in the <\/span><b>Democratic Republic of the Congo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, leading to the<\/span><b> combined name used today<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li <\/b><b>Transmission<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is transmitted by <\/span><b>bites from infected ticks <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or by<\/span><b> direct contact with blood or tissues of infected ticks, people, and livestock.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ticks can also be<\/span><b> hosted by migratory birds.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>People working in livestock industries, slaughterhouses<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>veterinary services <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are considered among the<\/span><b> highest-risk groups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for infection.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever <\/b><b>Symptoms<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Symptoms start one to 13 days after infection.\u00a0 Common symptoms include:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>High fever<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight:
