Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology through MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) has launched Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups (GENESIS) Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Cohort 3.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a flagship initiative of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Startup Hub.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed to discover, support, grow and <\/span><b>accelerate<\/b> <b>startups across India&#8217;s Tier-II and Tier-III cities.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Focus:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Through its <\/span><b>Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Pilot (EIR),<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Investment and DeepTech funding components, GENESIS supports startups and <\/span><b>innovators from early ideation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and experimentation through to validation, investment and scale.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The EIR component specifically provides <\/span><b>funding of up to Rs 10 lakh per startup<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to help innovators, students and entrepreneurs at the ideation and prototype stages develop their ideas into pilot-ready solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Financial Assistance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Total budget <\/span><b>outlay of \u20b9490 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme seeks to <\/span><b>unlock the entrepreneurial potential of emerging regions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and connect them more deeply with India\u2019s growing innovation ecosystem.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Key Facts about GENESIS EIR 3.0<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will support innovations in areas including <\/span><b>artificial intelligence and machine learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/internet-of-things-iot\/\" target=\"_blank\">Internet of Things<\/a><\/strong>, semiconductor and <\/span><b>VLSI technologies, cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum technologies,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and augmented reality, virtual reality, spatial and immersive technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Eligibility for<\/b> <b>GENESIS EIR 3.0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants must be <\/span><b>Indian citizens<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and may include entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, students or founders and co-founders of early-stage startups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The proposed innovation must be <\/span><b>at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 1-4<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, covering stages from ideation and proof of concept to prototype, MVP or early validation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For incorporated startups, the company <\/span><b>must be less than two years old<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as of the date of application and must be <\/span><b>based in a Tier-II or Tier-III city.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants are also required to ensure that the <\/span><b>proposed idea or startup has not received<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> financial assistance exceeding Rs 10 lakh under any Central or State
