Tirumala Hills<\/b> are a group of seven hills located in <\/span>Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh<\/b>. They form part of the <\/span>Eastern Ghats<\/b> and are famous for the <\/span>Tirumala Venkateswara Temple<\/b>, one of the most important pilgrimage centres in India. The hills are also important from the perspective of <\/span>geography, biodiversity, forests and cultural heritage<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seven Hills of Tirumala<\/b><\/h2>\n

Tirumala Hills Geographical Features<\/b><\/h2>\n

Tirumala Hills are part of the <\/span>Seshachalam Hills<\/b>, which belong to the <\/span>Eastern Ghats<\/b>. The region has rugged terrain, rocky formations, valleys and forested slopes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Eastern Ghats are discontinuous hill ranges running along the eastern side of peninsular India. Unlike the Western Ghats<\/a><\/strong>, they are broken by major rivers such as the <\/span>Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna and Kaveri<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Tirumala region represents an important portion of the Eastern Ghats in southern India.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Seshachalam Hills<\/b> are particularly important because of their geological and biological significance. They are known for their ancient rock formations and rich forest ecosystems.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Seshachalam Biosphere Reserve covers an important part of this landscape. It was recognised as a <\/span>Biosphere Reserve<\/b><\/a> by UNESCO in 2010<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The region is dominated by dry deciduous and mixed forest vegetation and supports several species of plants and animals.<\/span><\/p>\n
