{"id":12118,"date":"2025-11-06T11:22:52","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T05:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=12118"},"modified":"2025-11-06T14:26:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T08:56:47","slug":"vaibhav-fellowships-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/vaibhav-fellowships-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"VAIBHAV Fellowship Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>VAIBHAV Fellowship Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union Minister of State for Science and Technology interacted with Vaishvik Bhartiya Vaigyanik (VAIBHAV) Fellows from across the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About VAIBHAV Fellowship Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is awarded to <\/span><b>outstanding scientists\/technologists<\/b> <b>of Indian origin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NRI\/OCI\/PIO) who are engaged in research activities in their respective countries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The VAIBHAV Fellow would identify an Indian Institution for collaboration and may spend up to <\/span><b>two months in a year for a maximum of 3 years.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The government offers the researchers an <\/span><b>amount of INR 4,00,000 per month<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the entire period.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Improving the <\/span><b>research ecosystem<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of India\u2019s Higher Educational Institutions by facilitating academic and research collaborations between Indian Institutions and the best institutions in the world.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><b>connects Indian diaspora scientists with Indian institutions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by simplifying travel, extending fellowships, and creating structured student mobility.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Eligibility:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Researchers from institutions featuring in <\/span><b>the top 500 <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/qs-world-university-rankings\/\" target=\"_blank\">QS World University Rankings<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be eligible for the fellowship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The applicant must have obtained a Ph.D<\/span><b>\/M.D\/M.S degree<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from a recognized University.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>75 selected fellows<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> would be invited to work in <\/span><b>18 identified knowledge verticals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including quantum technology, health, pharma, electronics, agriculture, energy, computer sciences, and material sciences amongst others.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Nodal Ministry:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Department of Science and Technology, <\/span><b>Ministry of Science and Technology.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/ddnews.gov.in\/en\/dr-jitendra-singh-addresses-round-table-on-vaibhav-vision-for-viksit-bharat-with-nri-scientists-at-estic-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>DD News<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VAIBHAV Fellowship is awarded to outstanding scientists\/technologists of Indian origin (NRI\/OCI\/PIO) who are engaged in research activities in their respective countries.
