It does best on <\/span><b>sandy loams with adequate moisture.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Climate:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Semi-arid climate of Western India, Central, Eastern and Southern part of India including lower Himalayas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Season:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is cultivated <\/span><b>during Kharif<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in arid and semi-arid tropics and rabi\/summer in cooler areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The crop is grown in almost all parts of the country. More than 85% production of sesame comes from <\/span><b>West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Uses:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Sesame oil is excellent from a medicinal point of view.
