{"id":12174,"date":"2023-06-17T04:28:52","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T22:58:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=12174"},"modified":"2025-03-30T07:48:06","modified_gmt":"2025-03-30T02:18:06","slug":"goi-unsdc-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/goi-unsdc-framework\/","title":{"rendered":"GoI-UNSDC Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About the GoI-UNSDC Framework:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It represents the UN development system\u2019s collective offer to the Government of India, in line with the national vision for development, for the achievement of the <strong>Sustainable Development Goals, promoting gender equality, youth empowerment and human rights.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is built on four strategic pillars derived from the 2030 Agenda \u2013 <strong>People, Prosperity, Planet and Participation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The four interlinked pillars have <strong>six outcome areas f<\/strong>ocusing on Health and Well Being; Nutrition and Food Security; Quality Education; Economic Growth and Decent Work; Environment, Climate, WASH and Resilience; and Empowering People, Communities, and Institutions.<\/li>\n<li>It will have a specific focus on <strong>SDG localisation<\/strong> and <strong>South-South cooperation<\/strong>, in line with India\u2019s leadership towards the implementation and acceleration of the SDGs; and India\u2019s championing of South-South cooperation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The implementation and monitoring:<\/strong> It will be co-led by the Government of India and the United Nations, India through a Joint Steering Committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Sustainability?<\/h3>\n<p>Sustainability refers to the ability to meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
