The decision covers the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. Around 98% of these procurements will come from Indian industry. The approvals focus on defence modernisation, operational readiness, indigenous manufacturing and reduced dependence on foreign suppliers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is \u20b91.10 Lakh Crore Defence Procurement?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>\u20b91.10 Lakh Crore Defence Procurement <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">package received Acceptance of Necessity (AoN), marking in principle administrative approval for major military acquisitions.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Domestic procurement: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Around 98% of the approved procurement value is earmarked for Indian industry, supporting indigenous defence manufacturing and technological self reliance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>AoN significance: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Acceptance of Necessity is an important stage in capital acquisition. style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The proposals cover equipment and systems for the Army, Navy and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/indian-air-force-stations\/\" target=\"_blank\">Air Force<\/a><\/strong>, strengthening capabilities across land, maritime and aerial operations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Defence Systems Approved in \u20b91.10 Lakh Crore Procurement<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>\u20b91.10 Lakh Crore Defence Procurement <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">includes mobility, surveillance, electronic warfare, mine warfare and specialised military systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>CBRN Recce Vehicles: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These vehicles will detect, identify, monitor and mark areas contaminated by Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear agents, improving operational safety.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>High Mobility Vehicles: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HMVs will strengthen logistics, troop movement and operational mobility, particularly in challenging and difficult terrains.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Mechanical Mine Layers: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Self Propelled Mechanical Mine Layers will enable rapid minelaying in difficult terrain and support defensive as well as offensive military operations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Advanced Light Helicopters: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ALHs will undertake complex missions across different terrains and operational conditions for both the Indian Army and Indian Air Force.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Arudhra Radars: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Indian Navy will procure Arudhra radars to replace existing Air Route Surveillance Radars at various Naval Air Stations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Marine Gas Turbines: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Navy will pursue design, development and Jammer: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GBMPJ will provide electronic warfare capability by jamming adversarial radar systems and strengthening battlefield countermeasures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>DEFSAC System: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Defence Forces Secure Access Card system will replace paper based identity arrangements with interoperable RFID based smart cards for secure authentication.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Trawl Tanks and Sarvatra Bridge: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: Process and Indigenisation<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u20b91.10 Lakh Crore Defence Procurement reflects the growing preference for indigenous acquisition under India&#8217;s
