It has <strong>also been referred to in the West as the &#8220;Satan II&#8221;.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>capable of carrying 10 or more nuclear warheads<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>designed and built by the Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau<\/strong>, Russia.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Features<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>It has a <strong>range of about 18,000 kilometres.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It can travel at a <strong>maximum speed of 25,500kph.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Propulsion: Three-stage, liquid-fueled<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Launch weight: 208,100 kg<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It can <strong>carry a 10 ton payloa<\/strong>d and can <strong>load a wide variety of warhead options.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Sarmat can reportedly <strong>load up to 10 large warheads<\/strong>, 16 smaller ones, a <strong>combination of warheads and countermeasures<\/strong>, or hypersonic boost-glide vehicles<\/li>\n<li>While the RS-28 Sarmat can be launched much like a regular ICBM, it is thought to be also <strong>capable of what is called fractional orbital bombardment.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A fractional orbital bombardment means <strong>firing an ICBM into a low orbit of the Earth \u2013 much lower than a conventional firing <\/strong>\u2013 potentially in the opposite direction to the target.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1<\/strong>)\u00a0<strong>What is a Ballistic Missile?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ballistic missiles are powered initially by a rocket or series of rockets in stages, but then follow an unpowered trajectory that arches upwards before descending to reach its intended target.
